A great turnout at Jurby - the Douglas was displayed next to Freddie Dixon's banking sidecar, which then went out for a spin.

June 2009

The interest from people was amazing when the Douglas was on display at Laxey Woollen Mills on Laxey Day. We are hoping to display it again in August on Jurby Day.

I have sought advice and the Douglas does not need too much doing to get it going. When it was ‘turned over’ the other day, it even gasped for breath.

It was all very exciting and I feel very encouraged that hearing it start is achievable before the centenary of the mountain course in 2011.
